Latest Tv Shows WORK

There's never a bad time for romance. Sometimes, all you need is a good romance show to dive into to make you feel better, help you relax, or watch while curled up with someone special for date night or a lazy Sunday. The advantage of romance shows over romance movies is that it's a slow-burn story that is told over multiple episodes and, in many cases, even multiple seasons.

Skeleton Crew, starring Jude Law, takes place in the same part of the Star Wars timeline as The Mandalorian, and Dave Filoni said at Star Wars Celebration that the shows will all intertwine in "weird ways." Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts is also involved with the show, which is reportedly in pre-production.

So with the new year comes new TV shows and movies. But even though I live for new stuff to watch, I can't watch all the new stuff. So we asked Pop Culture Happy Hour's Linda Holmes and Aisha Harris to find out what's on their radar. Hello, you two.

HOLMES: Yeah, I loved "Yellowjackets." I think one of the most exciting things about a new year of television is always thinking about what's coming back that - you know, television shows go away for a long time now. So I am excited to eventually see the return of not just "Yellowjackets," but also, you know, "Succession," which I love, "Severance," which premiered on Apple last - in 2022, and which I thought was great. "Ted Lasso" will eventually be back, also on Apple. So, like, just there's a lot to look forward to that I already know that I like.

Returning fan-favorite series include The Mandalorian season 3, Ted Lasso season 3, You season 4 part 2 and Succession season 4. New shows are also premiering, such as Lucky Hank with Bob Odenkirk and UnPrisoned with Kerry Washington.

After a triumphant theatrical run, the smash summer hit sequel to the 1986 blockbuster Top Gun is finally coming to a home theater near you. Starring Tom Cruise, the franchise's latest chapter finds Pete "Maverick" Mitchell serving as a test pilot in the Navy and training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment that may require the ultimate sacrifice. Top Gun: Maverick is now streaming on Paramount+.

"The Flight Attendant" began airing on HBO Max in 2020. But after the Warner Brothers/Discovery merger was announced, the future of many HBO Max shows (which are part of WarnerMedia) were up in the air, and "The Flight Attendant" is one of them. As of now, there are zero plans for a third season.

This isn't to suggest, of course, that people haven't been bingeing television for decades. As long as there have been nerds and a means of recording, people have been mass consuming their favorite TV shows, whether on DVD or self-recorded VHS. But more recently, binge-watching has become not only something people do, but a driving factor that shapes the way some entertainment is formed on a core level. Netflix, in particular, is known for crafting binge-worthy shows in a way that compels viewers to digest the whole narrative in one or two sittings and, as a result, often blurs the lines between film and television story formats.

But whether you've been binge-watching your whole life or recently slid into the habit, there are some shows that are just perfect to mainline as quickly as possible. If you're scrolling through streaming and wondering "What show should I watch?", the Collider staff has put together handy list of our favorite shows to binge-watch below on Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max,Disney+, and Prime Video.

Wakanda Forever isn't your typical superhero movie. It's Marvel in mourning for obvious reasons and its shows on the screen. There's a morose tone to proceedings, with the country of Wakanda grieving over the death of their king. But this makes for a thoughtful film which eventually kicks into gear when Namor enters the scene, threatening Wakanda's way of life.

This reality show is what you get if you mix Squid Game with something like Enter The Dragon. Physical: 100 sees 100 of the fittest Koreans fight it out in one-on-one bouts. The winner gets to choose their own opponent but there are twists and turns along the way. It's a fascinating, gruelling watch that shows just what you can do when you are fit and you know it.

2022 gave us a massive amount of killer television shows, so much so that we had to make separate our "best of" lists into "new" and "returning." A chance to celebrate more of our favorite TV? We wouldn't have it any other way.

The best TV shows of 2022 are an eclectic list. Dragons and vampires brush shoulders with chefs and aspiring rappers; major genre juggernauts number alongside quieter stories that still pack a punch. Whether you're into sci-fi or realism, comedy or drama, we guarantee that you'll find something to love in these, the cream of the 2022 TV bumper crop.

The eponymous Mo, created by comedian Mo Amer for Netflix, hasn't yet been renewed for a second season by the streaming service. But it should be: This was one of the important shows made this year, as I wrote in my review.

One of the most ambitious new shows of 2022 is also among its most rewarding. Based on Min Jin Lee's best-selling novel, Pachinko spans not only decades but also generations, following a family line from an impoverished community in 1915 Korea to a prosperous Japan in 1989. The center of this moving saga is matriarch Kim Sunja, who grows from an intrepid child (Yu-na Jeon) to a pregnant, unwed teen (Minha Kim), to a grandmother (Academy Award-winning star of Minari, Youn Yuh-jung) too often patronized by her doting son (Soji Arai) and hotshot banker grandson Solomon (Jin Ha). 041b061a72
